I am a freelance cameraman, assistant director and video editor based in Ayrshire, 40 minutes from Glasgow. I have worked in various locations across Scotland, and can easily travel anywhere in the UK when required.

I have several years experience filming live events, factual & observational documentaries, and short drama productions. I have developed an instinctive sense of visual narrative, a sharp ear for good dialogue and a practical approach to programme making.                                          

Camera Operator (Studio and On Location):

I am able to work with a variety of camera and lighting equipment. If you do not already have the equipment you need for the job, I can source the appropriate kit where required. I work with a variety of formats, both SD and HD, from DVCam to XDCAM and others.

Assistant Director:

Having directed several projects, I am available as an AD at various levels, from shot-logging and co-ordinating scenes, to keeping order on set. Whatever the production requires, I can adapt my skills to suit.

Editor:

I am available for video editing work (on & offline, non-linear), have worked with Final Cut Pro 6 & 7, and Adobe Premiere Pro CS4. I use an Apple MacBook Pro and Final Cut Studio 3 for mobile and on-location video post-production work.
